All gods were granted the right to shape life… all save one. Mal’uthuk, the God of Death, was forbidden by AvovA to craft a race in his own image. Life, he was told, lay beyond his dominion. But Mal’uthuk would not be denied.

In secret, he found a way. Through arcane loopholes and forgotten rites, he shaped the Scundruze as not truly living, not fully dead, but something... other. Flesh animated by soul-bound ritual. Consciousness tempered by the chill of the grave.

The Scundruze are rare and unnerving, often viewed with suspicion or dread. Their society is veiled in mystery, defined by funerary rites, silent pilgrimage, and the ever-present weight of what they are. Their very existence is a divine controversy… and their future, uncertain.
