Far beneath the shining towers of Darkenhaven lies the Gloomport… an enormous city carved into a colossal cavern. Ruled in name by the Republic of Zyranthea, it is, in truth, controlled by crime syndicates, compromised politicians, and a web of dark favors too tangled to cut.

Born as a trade hub connected to the Underdelve via the Deepcurrent River, and the surface world via the enormous opening to the sea known as the Maw, it has grown into a sprawling den of thieves, smugglers, mercenaries, mad-men, and monsters.

Here, power changes hands in back alleys and side tunnels. Foul creatures skirt the edges of the city, hungry for the feast that lies within. Cultists work dark deeds in places the Portguard fear to tread. And throughout it all, the city lumbers on despite the perils of every-day life.

Yet for all its ills, Gloomport is a place of promise. This is a city where a common sellsword might shake hands with a queen of crime. Where a ship might hide ancient artifacts within a secret hollow space. And your party? They’ll walk streets where every turn of a corner is an opportunity for adventure.
